We got these guys coming down to play the next SnakeTown after seeing them smash the launch of FakeTV. They're rad. Check 'em out.
Heres how they describe themselves....
Formed in late 2011, Nymph are a rock band embracing sounds from hard rock, punk, stoner rock, grunge and post-hardcore. Fully embracing 90’s roots with the lyrical and songwriting traits of heavy music post-2010, Nymph come across as fresh and contemporary with a nod to nostalgia. Memorable vocals and guitar licks that would make Josh Homme proud are yet more reasons why Nymph makes quick work of alternative rock fans.
With a live show so tight it makes a bad PA irrelevant and a level of professionalism that is seldom seem in heavy bands of their ilk, Nymph make a lasting impression upon crowds especially with music fans not normally receptive to loud, abrasive music.
Both first single ‘Stroke’ and b-side ‘Alienation’ are available to stream on Soundcloud right now. Recorded with Rory Bratwell (Test-Icicles) in late 2012 at his famous Lightship Studios, the tracks have received glowing praise online.
NYMPH will be playing at Killing Moon Club at The Monarch in Camden on the 24th of April, at SnakeTown, Catch in Shoreditch on the 27th of April and at Hoxton Bar & Kitchen on May 16th with Arrows Of Love and the mighty Throne.
Killing Moon – Track Of The Day (21/03/2013)
“Stroke feels like it could stand toe-to-toe with the slew of heavy indie rockers that have been surfacing of late”
The Peel – First Listen (28/03/2013)
“It's the type of music you'd hear at a sweaty, dark, wordless nightclub. I can see them up on stage, rifling through songs with little to no introduction or explanation needed to separate tracks… enjoy these Brits bringing back some dirty rock”
